Freedom For Our Future Update

Our two-year anniversary for Freedom for our Future (FFOF) is here, and I can’t describe how excited I am for this next season! It has been such a blessing to hear some of the stories and testimonies of what God has been doing for the families here at The Rock.

As we enter this third and final year of FFOF, we have some new developments.  I am thrilled to announce that the mortgage balance has been reduced now by over $4 million!  Over the past two years, every extra dollar has gone towards FFOF - nearly $1million in extra principle payments with just over $3.1million given by our members. That is truly a miracle of God!  We still have a ways to go to reach our initial goal of total elimination, and your support makes all the difference.

While it is vitally important to our mission to eliminate the mortgage, we also have a growing list of things that need attention and updating.  That’s why this last year, we have decided to take a “hybrid” approach to FFOF, combining projects to improve the church grounds and service experience as well as reduce the mortgage balance.

It’s our 27th anniversary as a church and so for the final year of the campaign we’re giving everyone the opportunity to keep their current pledge, adjust their current pledge, or make a new pledge.  The honest truth is this, some pledges that we’ve received have never been paid into, our desire is that we would all gather together to support this house, but we realize not everyone gets involved, and life events arise that change our plans.

I’d like to ask you to do something; pray.  We need your continued support!  Perhaps your pledge is more than you can give, or perhaps your pledge could increase with God’s grace.  Pray, seek God’s answer for your pledge.  What can you do to support your church home?  One year to go, we can do this!

Mark 9:23, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Thank you so much for your continued support! I so look forward to see what God will do here at The Rock, and I know we’re just getting started!  Will you pray and seek God to commit what you can this last year of FFOF?  Remember, FFOF isn’t about equal giving, (some can give more than others) it’s about equal sacrifice. We do our part, and let God work His. Let’s secure this house for generations to come!
